LAYING MANUAL FOR THE "COVERCOP" TILE RANGE

INTRODUCTION
The entire "Covercop" range has been produced with ecological materials which can be 100% recycled since they contain no harmful substances; in fact polyethylene is a perfect combination of strength/lightness - ecology and respect for the environment. Laying the tiles is not fraught with any difficulties thanks to their simplicity and manageability they can even be laid by non-experts. However for the best results it's advisable to follow a few simple suggestions which make laying easy, safe and fast.

LAYING METHOD
Laying should be done in horizontal lines, starting from the bottom (the gutter line) and moving upwards (to the ridgeline), making sure that the direction of the tiles follows that of the wooden beams they rest on. The use of beams measuring 5 x 4cm with an interval of 45cm is recommended running parallel to the gutter line of the building, which the tiles should then be laid on. (see diagram).

To allow the water to drain into the gutter and avoid it dripping along the walls the first row of tiles should be placed with sufficient overhang to ensure what has been said above. As regards the anchorage of the tiles, as well as slotting into one another they are provided with a special cavity into which a stainless steel screw is inserted with a wood/cement/iron pitch. Moreover to make the tiles homogenous and waterproof, this cavity is sealed with a plug of the same colour as the tile.
