LAYING A NEW ROOF OVER AN EXISTING ONE


The "Covercop" and "Minicop" roofings can be installed as part of the refurbishing of an old cement asbestos roof, commonly known as "Eternit". The procedure we propose, provided for by Law no. 257 dated 27/03/92 (Regulations covering the dismantling of asbestos) is based on laying a new roof over the old one in the following manner:

  1. Application of an encapsulant to prevent the dispersion of fibres from the old roof.
  2. Laying on basic frame with wooden beams screw-fastened to the existing frame.
  3. After installing the gutters and any finishing elements begin to lay the tiles.
